Queensland Multicultural Festival

The Queensland Multicultural Festival has been replaced with Queensland Multicultural Week.

The Queensland Multicultural Festival was an annual one day event held at Brisbane’s Roma Street Parkland between 2004 and 2011. The festival featured a range of activities showcasing Queensland’s cultural diversity including:

  • Music and dance performances
  • Food and craft stalls
  • Community and government information stalls
  • Citizenship ceremony.

The new Queensland Multicultural Week is a week-long program of multicultural activities and events. The program aims to ensure that Queensland’s rich multicultural heritage is properly represented not just in Brisbane, but also in other parts of the state.
