What is the Queensland Migration Heritage Partnership?
Queensland is a culturally rich state. More than one-fifth of today's Queenslanders were born overseas, and more than one-third of residents have one or both parents born overseas.
The Queensland Migration Heritage Partnership supports multiculturalism in Queensland by drawing together artefacts and heritage to recreate, share and promote migration and settlement experiences in Queensland.
The Queensland Migration Heritage Partnership supports celebration of and education about Queensland's diverse cultural heritage, as well as supporting the continued growth of multicultural communities throughout the state.
Introducing the Queensland Migration Heritage Hub
The Queensland Migration Heritage Hub is an initiative of the Queensland Migration Heritage Partnership, and the first website in Queensland that brings together migration heritage resources including images, research material, listings of heritage sites, archival information and records, a variety of useful links – as well as the migration stories of Queenslanders.
If you, your family or friends made the migration journey to Queensland, we would love to hear about it – it’s easy, just go to the share your story page!
