Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs

Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust

The Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust (GACSDT) funds projects that promote cultural, educational, health and social development within the communities of the lower Gulf region.

Applications for the 2013 funding round closed in September 2013.

Cultural Diversity Queensland (formerly Multicultural Affairs Queensland)

Economic Participation Grants Program

This new program offers grants to assist eligible local government and non-government organisations to deliver innovative projects that support economic independence and participation as well as business development for Queenslanders from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Applications close 14 March 2014.

Valuing Diversity Grants Program

Funding to support multicultural events that promote community cohesion, foster harmonious community relations and participation, and strengthen all Queenslanders’ understanding of cultural diversity and its benefits.

Recipients of the 2013-14 grants round were announced in October 2013.

Social Services Investment Portal

The Queensland Government is committed to improving its grants administration processes. The Social Services Investment Portal, released in December 2013, is the first stage in delivering the Commission of Audit recommendation to publish information on all grant programs.
