Queensland Cultural Diversity Week is the state’s largest celebration of cultural diversity and will be held from Saturday 30 August to Sunday 7 September 2014.

Queensland-based Australian South Sea Islanders are invited to share their views to help shape a brighter future for Queensland’s Australian South Sea Islander community. The survey will close on Friday 23 May 2014.

Queensland Cultural Diversity Policy – Queensland rich in our diversity

The Queensland Government is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all Queenslanders. This new policy focuses on four outcomes; language independence, education participation and attainment, economic independence and participation, and community participation.

Economic Participation Grants Program

The Economic Participation Grants Program offers grants to assist eligible local government and non-government organisations to deliver innovative projects that support economic independence and participation as well as business development for Queenslanders from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Valuing Diversity Grants Program

The Valuing Diversity Grants Program offers funding to support multicultural events that promote community cohesion, foster harmonious community relations and participation, and strengthen all Queenslanders’ understanding of cultural diversity and its benefits.
